Yesterday, the world of horology was charmed by the unveiling of the stunning Oris X Miss Piggy Limited Edition, a collaboration with The Muppets that has left us utterly smitten. Here at WatchObsession, we couldn't help but ponder: which Muppet is next in Oris' sights?
The office debate raged on, with passionate arguments for countless Muppet characters deserving of their own Oris timepiece. However, two contenders emerged as clear favourites.

What is a Collaboration?
Collaborations happen when two or more brands, often from different industries (such as a watchmaker and a fashion house), join forces to create a unique timepiece. Watch brands like Oris have been collaborating outside the world of horology for decades, from the collaboration between Ferrari X Cartier of the 1980s to the many G-Shock collaborations of recent years. The recent partnership between Oris and The Muppets is part of a time honoured tradition to introduce the world of horology to new audiences and inspire a new generation of watch lovers.
The Oris X Muppets Collaboration So Far
Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition
Released in March 2023 to an overwhelming show of love for everyones favourite amphibian. The Oris X Kermit ProPilot took over the world of social media, eventually landing on the heavily coveted cover of the Oracle Time issue 92. The household name of the Muppets combined with the beauty and elegance we all love from Oris left us screaming like Animal for more.

Oris ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition
January 2024 saw the follow up release in the wonderfully fun Muppets Collaboration, and has so far been extremely well received with everyone here at WatchObsession, it's joyous colouring, top specs and playful spyhole on the case back all add up to a timepiece that will no doubt be a success.

But Who's Next?
But who's the next muppet in the lineup for Oris to turn wristwards?
Could it be the ever popular Fozzie Bear, with a bronze case and suede strap? Or possible a dual release of Statler and Waldorf with tuxedo dials and on classic black leather? Sam Eagle would be undoubtably be a popular Oris release with his colouring being very similar to a certain jewellery stores signature blue.
The worldwide appreciation of The Muppets means could debate and configure until Gladys the Cow comes home, but when I have photoshop and an Oris Big Crown ProPilot at my disposal, nobody can stop me mocking up ideas for two of my favourite muppets!
Oris Big Crown ProPilot X Gonzo the Great
Starting with the one and only Gonzo, surely his blue fur and affinity for wearing yellow lends him perfectly to a dressier ProPilot?
A gold case and deep blue sunburst dial to match his bright and happy would be the ideal styling. I've also chosen to forego the bracelet for a brown alligator embossed leather strap that I think matches Gonzo's smart style and classic good looks.

Oris Big Crown ProPilot X Animal
You can't think of The Muppets without thinking of Animal, his character has been a fan favourite since his debut in 1975. Franz Oz sums up his character quite aptly in five words: Sex, Sleep, Food, Drums, and Pain.
Keeping the stainless steel case for this mock to reflect Animal's collar and chain, with an off red dial and s sneaky Animal in the date to match the original Kermit edition.

Conclusion
We'll all have to wait and see what happens next with the Oris X Muppets collaboration. Whether it's finished with these two or more Muppets are to come the debate will continue, but it's safe to say we all know what our 'Most Wanted' collaboration is, for me, I hope to see a bronze cased Fozzie Bear! Whatever happens we know Oris will smash it out of the park again like they've done with these first two.
